Bayer judged “Best in Class” globally for climate protection
For the third time in a row, Bayer has been included in the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index, the first international climate protection index, with the classification “Best in Class”. This year, the Leverkusen-based group received this commendation as the only German company in its sector. Independent experts ranked the world’s 500 largest listed companies. This was announced by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) investor group in New York.

After more than 50 years in Gothenburg Bayer AB moves its Swedish head office to Solna, Stockholm. Bayer celebrated the milestone in its business development in Sweden today with the inauguration of the brand new office in Frösunda Port.

Bayer Norden appoints new finance director
The new face in the position as finance director in Bayer Norden belongs to 40-year-old Ms Babette Hirth. As of 1 July 2007 she has been appointed as Nordic Head of Corporate Services/Finance and Accounting and she replaces Mr Peer Steensbro who has pursued new challenges outside Bayer Norden after 13 years in the Group.

Bayer and Schering Integrated in Scandinavia
On April 1 Bayer and Schering have been legally combined in Scandinavia. This leads to the formation of a new pharmaceutical organization within Bayer HealthCare. The division carries the name Bayer Schering Pharma and is the largest division within Bayer HealthCare.

Nexavar forlænger livet på patienter med levercancer
Nexavar forbedrer overlevelsen for patienter med primær levercancer versus placebo. Det viser foreløbige resultater fra et fase III studie. Alle patienter i studiet overgår derfor til behandling med Nexavar. Nexavar er godkendt til behandling af nyrekræft i 50 lande og fik i april sidste år status som særbehandling af levercancer i Europa og USA.
